This extension for WSC 3.1 and 5.x allows pushing threads via a button in the header of a thread. When pushing, a post is created in the thread that indicates pushing with the user's name.
Pushing can be restricted to specific forums and is time limited via a group permission. The time interval between pushing a thread is at least one hour and can be extended largely as desired; the default is 24 hours. This time must also be adhered to after the thread has been created.
Normal users can only push their own threads. However, with the appropriate permission, pushing is also possible without restrictions.
With an optional extension, which is included in the package, Push Threads can be connected with JCoins. It is then possible to charge JCoins for pushing and to make pushing dependent on the JCoins balance.
After the installation the following settings have to be done:
- Specifying a name for the author of the push post under Configuration - Forum - Threads - General. This can be the name of an existing user, but it does not have to be. Depending on the choice of name, a guest post or user post will be created.
- Setting up group permissions Can push threads without restrictions, Can push own threads and Minimum time between two pushes under General Permissions - Forum - Threads.
- Turn on pushing in forum configuration under Apps - Forums - Edit forum - General.
- For the JCoins extension, only the income for pushing needs to be set.
Versions 5.3.x are for WoltLab Suite 3.1 to 5.3
